Limited Parapet Wall Reconstruction

The former home of the apparel-making center of Hart Schaffner Marx (the Hartmarx Corp), the Haberdasher Square Condominium Association is comprised of two adjacent warehouse buildings; one with a concrete frame (circa 1927) and one of timber frame (circa 1933).  The two buildings were joined and converted to condominium units in 1995.

Limited Parapet Wall Project:

The parapet reconstruction work was on the west elevation of the concrete frame building, immediately adjacent to the expressway and consisted of:

• Primarily parapet reconstruction

• Roof flashing repairs

• Masonry and concrete repairs

• Sealant repairs

• Roof repairs

• As necessary brick replacement, tuckpointing and roof flashing repairs at the northeast corner and the penthouses of the concrete frame building
