Garage Repairs and Membrane Installation

The Museum Park Place Condominiums is a 23-story concrete structure located on Calumet Avenue in the Museum Campus district of Chicago. It was originally constructed in 2005.

The parking garage for the condominiums is 5 levels and located on the first to fifth floors of the high-rise tower. Access to the garage is provided by an overhead door located at the south elevation of the building. The parking garage layout has a two-way traffic drive aisle with parking stalls typically located on both sides of the drive aisle.

The scope of the garage repairs addressed the deterioration to the existing concrete structure and the application of a heavy duty vehicular traffic coasting system.

  • Installation of new and supplemental draining systems

  • Repair to the distressed areas of exposed concrete

  • Installation of epoxy overlay systems at back-pitched areas of the garage floors

  • Application of a new heavy duty vehicular traffic coating system

  • Application of a new liquid-applied membrane system for slab-on-grade conditions

  • Repairs to deteriorated HVAC and electrical systems
